Alex Alex continued to eat as if what she had said about her sleeping for three hours was completely normal. After finishing her first cup of coffee she picked up her second, blowing the steam off of it. Alex knew that she didn't need the caffeine boost, and yet she continued to drink coffee throughout the years. “Yeah the moon here is super cool! I think it's because we are in the middle of nowhere. If we were surrounded by skyscrapers and smoggy factories the moon wouldn't be as bright!” Alex spoke with a lot of pep in her voice, as if this was the absolutely best thing in the world. She listened to what Lynn said with a smile on her face, it was nice to hear her friend speak. For Alex it seemed like she was always talking, so it was nice to hear someone elses voice for a change. And Lynn had an interesting way of speaking. Not only did she speak with a lot of profanities, she just had a cool way of saying things. After Lynn gave her description of her roommate Alex jumped back into the conversation. “Yeah I know her! I saw her yesterday!” As long as the one-eyed girl didn't mess with Lynn everything would be okay. The last thing Alex wanted was for Lynn to have a bad time at the Academy because she was assigned a crappy roommate. And even though Lynn didn't mention it, Alex had to throw in her own description of her roommate. “My roommate is pretty cool, she doesn't mind my glowing and woke up early to smoke weed.” Her voice was almost too loud for comfort. “But she doesn't seem like a bad person so I'm fine.” She then nodded. “Yeah...I don't want to come to some super cool school to do math.” She then shook her head. “Nah...I haven't heard anything about the arena.” She then went quiet again, finishing off her plate of food and starting up her coffee again. “You must be a really good fighter Lynn!” She said with a grin, one that disappeared for only a second when Lynn asked if she was a fighter. “I...uh...” She looked as if she was struggling to form words. “I've gotten in a few fights...nothing too major...” She looked like she was hesitating, as if wondering if she should continue talking or just leave it at that. She left it as it was. “I normally try to avoid using my powers to harm others.” But as soon as Lynn mentioned watching each other's backs her eyes lit back up. If anything this might have been the most excited Lynn had ever seen her. Her eyes seemed to be twinkling and her hair seemed to drift around, glowing with some strange energy. Yep the moon was bright last night. “So we are like partners now!” If Lynn was paying enough attention she might observe tiny bursts of light around Alex, fading quickly into the sunlight. “Oh my goodness! We can be like each others sidekicks!”
