Aged yet enduring battleship design, the Lohengrin forms the backbone of the Imperial Fleet. It's a true warship, armored and armed to the teeth mainly using the Galaxian Empire's famous tachyon beam cannons in combat. Its main armor component is durasteel, nanoconstructed iron condensed to 100 times its original density to achieve incredible strength. This effect is further reinforced by the Schwere-field's integrity-boosting properties. The mysterious Schwere-field has numerous purposes. First and foremost it manipulates gravity which helps to maintain an Earth-like environment on the ship and also acts as an inertial buffer to protect the crew against sudden acceleration/deceleration. It also effects mass, reducing the ship's weight while increasing the reaction mass of the purified water used for propulsion. By a mechanism similar to the once theorized Alcubierre Drive the Schwere-field warps space-time to allow faster-than-light travel, even if at comparably slow speeds. Lastly for a brief time the Schwere-field's intensity can be increased to generate a directional "screen" of gravity known as Schwerenkraft-Wandschirm. Aside from the gravity screen the ship is also enveloped in the barrier of the Tachyon Matrix which also appears to be an important element while the ship travels at faster-than-light speeds. The energy requirements of the ship are supplied by multiple plasma reactors, using plasma implosion to concentrate antimatter for intense and highly efficient gain of power. At average the starship possesses enough anti-matter to last for 2 months. As an auxiliary system the Lohengrin-class was the first warship to be equipped by a zero-point energy extractor unit (ZPEEU). This unit requires extensive machinery to control and provides much less output than plasma reactors but it's nigh-inexhaustible, providing energy until the unit eventually breaks down from mechanical failure after a few centuries. As such ZPEEU is generally not used for combat but for operating less important systems and providing comfort for the crew (ie: powering the replicators to provide food daily). Altogether the Lohengrin-class is an incredibly successful and enduring design, with minor refits serving the Galaxian Empire for almost a century by now.[/hider]

Standard starfighter of the Galaxian Empire around SC5233. Contrary to their starships the newest Walküre VII starfighter diverged from the old customs and features the revolutionary concept of multiple hulls. Using an articulated tough durasteel axis it unites four hulls in a cross shape, making the enemies often dub it as the "X-Fighter". The dorsal and ventral hulls are almost nothing more than a large thruster and a compact plasma reactor, making these the starfighter's main power and propulsion systems. On the other hand the port&starboard hulls are serving as weapon platforms mounted on an axle allowing the whole hull to turn upward/downward 360 degrees or swivel left/right 75/75 degrees. Each platform has a pair of tachyon beam cannons on flexible ball-mounts, giving the weapons even more freedom to aim. To increase their firepower the beam cannons use energy banks filed with metastable matter batteries albeit this would also limit the number of shots per resupply. The spherical unit on the front part of the dorsal hull is the cockpit, fully enclosed and covered the most thickly armored part of the vehicle. This is in order to give additional protection for the pilot and filter out dangerous radiation. In case of emergency this cockpit can be also ejected to work like an escape pod. The pilot himself receives information via the sensors and tachyonic cameras, all fed into his virtually enhanced headgear. The controls are done via direct brain impulse reading but there are also manual controls and a panoramic viewscreen in case of emergency. Thanks to its high engines to mass ratio the Walküre VII is considerably more agile and overall faster than most starships. Its lightness also makes the Schwere-field generator much more efficient albeit because of the lack of tachyon matrix the Walküre VII or any imperial starfighter is unable to exceed the speed of light. This is often circumvented by having them launch from warp catapults, coating them in a momentarily tachyon matrix and having them shot deep into hostile areas. This kind of rapid deployment can easily catch the enemy by surprise who expects the Empire's fleet to be slow behemoths.[/hider]
