The sounds of lively conversation drifted up towards Veili as he made his way down the stairs. The upper floors, housing the more luxurious rooms, had been much more quiet than the floors he passed by now. Students in the hallways became a more common sight the closer to ground floor he got, and there was a regular in and outflow at the entrance when it came in sight. The beads clacked against one another, the distinct sound piercing through most of the student’s early morning conversations. It was intentional and though Veili took no pleasure from most of the student body giving him space, he couldn’t deny it was better than trying to squeeze his way through. Yet something gave him a moment’s pause. While he didn’t pay the students much attention, Veili did pay his surroundings due attention. So it was with a raised eyebrow that he watched a small group of students hurry past the dormitory. He didn’t care so much as to what happened, but rather why it had happened. So following their path, Veili quickly saw what he needed to see and decided breakfast could wait for a few minutes. Even if there had been a crowd, Elizabeth would have been easy enough to spot. As it was, she stood out somewhat like a beacon. He hadn’t made eye contact, so hopefully he hadn’t been spotted yet. That wouldn’t last though, not with his height and distinctive red hair. Turning 180°, he proceeded away from the entrance and back into a nearby hallway. Maybe he wasn’t giving her enough credit, maybe he was overreacting, but there couldn’t be a problem without an opportunity could there? So, he decided to wait a few minutes, leaning against the wall as he did so, and simply let the “opportunity” pass on by.
