She landed face first on to the the deck, making an embarrassing thud as her body connected with the floor, jarring her small frame. Her eyes stung with tears as she got up, a drip of blood falling from her nose to the wooden deck informing her that she bashed her nose upon the planks. Putting her hand to her nose she got up awkwardly and bumped into a sailor.
"Lass! The capt'n wants ye in his cabin before we land.", the said loudly, grabbing her by her shoulders before she fell back down and steadied her.
"Um- Uh- Tha-", she just nodded, avoiding the embarrassment of her immense stutters, shuffling past the man she scurried towards the sturn of the vessel. Pulling a handkerchief from her pocket she held it to her nose to catch the blood, while she was concentrated on blocking her nose she bumped into someone at the captains door, making her fall onto her back.
