We still don't know how they managed it without waking us up.[ Vessel name: The Aryana Vessel identification number: GR4P3DUP4UN - databases show originally 06942. : identified stolen, Vessel history: -Stardate: Error Location: Error Log: Unknown- Contents unharmed: A small girl sits in the corner of her room, crying and perched on her bed. She had tried to get to sleep but there was something in the building which she needed to see. Her parents refused her the chance, no child needs to see something as grotesque as this. After an hour, her door opened and in came that one thing which her parents found so grotesque. A pirate, her fathers old friend and her godfather. He ushered her to quite down and began to speak. Tell me, did I ever tell you that story Liana? The story of a man, who stole an ancient ship and flew away to explore the stars? Did I ever tell you it was stolen, I don't suppose I did. Well, they all say it was stolen, I prefer the term borrowed after all, I did always intend to take it back... I just haven't got around to it yet. Oh but one day Liana you'll dream of that ship and of the old fool who ran away with it, just promise me one thing, if you ever decide to follow me, don't make the mistakes I've made, the things I've seen while running to the far reaches of the galaxy. The thing is, no matter how hard I try; I won't stop running just yet. -Log end-
The Aryana's technology is ancient, created by an extinct race when humans were just getting started with deep space travel. How many eons must it have been? It can't be too long, but then of course dating a ship from an extinct race is difficult. Especially a prototype like the Aryana. The sheet metal used in some parts of the ship are old to this very day. Maak'r stole it while it was being refurbished. At least, we think he stole it. The ships automated AI organism seems to have decided that she stole the captain away, board of sitting around waiting for something to happen. She was still alive after all and she didn't want to give talks to people on how the ship worked. And so, the door was unlocked and she waited. Waited for someone to come along, see the ship and steal her. Twelve year she waited, that's how long it took them to refurbish her without breaking parts off. The way the thief took care of the guard was rather amusing actually, the AI had a new toy to play with. Duct tapi a bucket to his head and locking him in a broom cupboard? Hardly genius but still intriguing. Then it began. The running that is, Maak'r still doesn't quite know what he's running from. The AI - her name was Kaila apparently - said someone was chasing them, trying to reclaim the ship for the museum. After years passed even Kaila forgot if it was true. Now the man in the corner of their eye was a hallucination. Something that could be there but most likely wasn't. The reason that both Kaila and Maak'r insist the crew keep on running? They fear the ship will end up back in the museum. Kaila with nothing to do for eternity and Maak'r with no way to travel the stars.
Vessel occupation: Presumed Pirate; stolen. Used mainly for freelance work. Crew members:Maak'r Phlanx Race: Autumn-son Occupation: Captain
Humanoid in every way the Autumn-son don't seem all that special. To the untrained eye of course, In reality they come from one of the most incredible sectors of space. They named themselves after it's unique characteristic in fact, the constant renewal of its stars. Like a never ending autumn-spring cycle which takes less than five minutes to complete. Their home planet is nothing special, situated in the orbit of the most stable sun. By the human calendar it would restart its cycle one a year, lasting for 9 months before dying and renewing. They survived of course, it was difficult but the other stars were close enough to warrant them calling it a sort of winter period. People say that if you look into someone's eye when they die you can see an image of the last thing they saw. While this is completely untrue, with the Autumn-Sons you can see something similar, the most beautiful sun they've ever seen gets replayed for eternity in their dead gaze the beauty of it being reborn to the sadness of its death. This makes the eyes of a dead Autumn-on a valuable commodity. This Autumn-son in particular is Maak'r Phlanx. Born on the eve of the 501st alignment of birth - an event which takes place every hundred years - to a loving father and mother. Not much can be said about his life, until he stole a ship and ran away. He roamed to the ends of the galaxy, picked up a rag-tag crew and kept on running, no one knows what from. But it's probably something important. He's seen all sorts, the first words in the universe, the fall of solar systems in a single day. A town called Christmas and tears in stars. He's heard songs to soothe old gods, a woman who bet her life on a single leaf, a man with a lisp and a magic broom. He's experienced the celebrations of birth, confessed to a genetically engineered priest. Watch a man die trying to time travel and then another come back alive. They say he runs because something's coming after him, ancient powers reclaiming what he stole from them, museum staff can be so angry. He says himself he's running from what he's done already, looking for something new. Abandoning the old in search of new Horizons. But one day, there'll be one thing left. To hand up his coat and return what he borrowed years ago.
Mkkt Bkkt Race: Multipod Occupation: Black-market dealer (On occasion, whitemarket dealer)
Not much can be said about the multipods, they're in reality a mutation something which shouldn't exist, let alone in great numbers. Tales tell of a human drinking the blood of an Evershire space whale. Known to be highly volatile, it caused him to mutate in such a manner that he became essentially a tentacle monster. But still, people mutate un different ways to become multipods. Mkkt Bkkt was born in a pod of 300, fertilised by 20 male multipods. He isn't really sure who is father is but he doesn't care, his planet was destroyed long ago. Oh don't worry Mkkt was long gone at that point he didn't really know why. He thinks it was to make room for an intergalactic bypass. He eventually managed to start selling salvaged ship parts to locals, once he made enough money he bought the organs of a Ty'snyc and sold them for a high profit, sooner or later he managed to get himself a small emporium. Selling anything from illegal laser pointers to high risk drugs and implants. Remember Gareen the athlete who was caught using stimulus autonomous activators? Mkkt Bkkt sold them to him. He joined the crew because Maak'r bought a dodgy laser pistol - it was clearly marketed as a children's toy. It was such a shame it happened to be a real one and Maak'r singed his left nut with it. - so Mkkt joined the crew, probably because he had his eye on its ancient technology.but he keeps up the facade that he only did it to stop Maak'r going to the old bill.
Kaila Race: Kanari Occupation: AI
The Kanari aren't really an AI, they're not an organic species I'll give you that but they are capable of reproduction. Even if that does mean ripping the arms off of each other, no ones quite sure what goes on there since it hasn't been seen for millennia - although legend says that a star is born during the process. Either way they are technically made of pure energy, a race fabricated by the same ancient race that created the Aryana. They may have existed outside of that however there is a common theory that the fabricated species were made due to the original one beginning to die out due to changed in the solar winds ripping them apart. So, Kaila is an AI, she is the heart of the ship. She controls it's base functions and can even use her body to provide extra power to certain systems. Think of it like an extra battery alongside the generator. Her life began in a lab. Nothing more can be said, the birth of a Kanari is one of two things - breathtaking or traumatising - you can guess which one Kanari born in a lab experienced. She had no energy to feed of, nothing from her parents. Just a few redundant energy storages and 9-volt shoved god knows where. She was placed in a skeleton, external of course. To live a life she wouldn't keep. Soon she was bundled up and placed in a ship for eternity, it was a prototype never to be launched. Then once upon a time, she stole a captain. Why else was the door unlocked? She was old by then, but nothing a good run of the engines couldn't sort out. Within a week she was replenished, young again. She could slip out of the ships consoles and walk around, even without an exoskeleton. Something that not many of her kind ever got to do, the ancient ones saw to that. That was their problem, controlling what could never truly be controlled . The downfall of those ancient ones was down to this. Soon the Kanari powering the city disappeared. They shorted out as their containment drained them. Kaila was thankful to have never suffered this. A Kanari with a ship to power can rejuvenate. Even if it meant she was the last of her kind in an empty universe. Alone, with a thief who she enticed into her grasp.
Doris the cleaning droid: Race: Droid Occupation: Automated cleaning utility companion.
Dorris hasn't a scrap of her original self left, Mkkt Bkkt built her on one of the crews excursions to a landfill planet to drop off the bins for collection. She was originally programmed as a Shoe shiner droid named Melvin who lived on a pirate ship. Her arms were those of an intimate recreational protocol droid on an old space station twenty years before that. The legs were from an assault course demonstration droid dumped by the imperials after a newer model came out five ago. The only part of Doris that is actually her is the voice processor, something which Mkkt bought from an old friend in hopes that it would be a worth investment. Even the cleaning implements were salvage - an old mop head, a Hoover nozzle and bag from different manufacturers which a held together by duct tape and not to mention the exquisite handkerchief which Doris uses to polish. She was happy though, beyond the most basic protocols she has some basic form of free will and Maak'r found out she's a killer at ping pong when it gets on. Of course her possessions are limited, for example the pink bow she wears and thinks was her mothers or the small apron she once found in a storage container. The crew treat her well though, she has her own room and doesn't really need to clean if she doesn't want to. Although it is difficult for her to not want to since it's her basic programming. Her only real hope is to eventually get upgraded a little, she really needs a new nozzle.
Features:Warp Mainframe: Unlike your typical FTL warp drive or other conventional travel alternatives the mainframe is integrated into the Aryana's main hull, covering the ship in small circuits which when activated warp the ship. The downside? If heavy damage is taken then the mainframe main be rendered inoperable meaning standard flight needs to be used. Otherwise the Aryana is an extremely adaptable ship, the on board AI is capable of doing a whole bunch of things to the ship, once it even turned the medibay into a makeshift cooker when the kitchens went down. When it comes to weapons it's outfitted with your basics Gatling lasers, otherwise it also has flak cannons and solar weaponry which make short work of enemy vessels. Height/Length/Weight: 245feet/ 656feet/weightdoesntapplyinspaceyouassrabeiz.The mass is 247 089.908 kilograms though. Rooms: Kitchen Luxurious bathrooms (Unisex in commercial areas) Super comfy honeymoon suites (AKA pillow fight rooms for the crew) Medibay (Health and safety gone mad according to the cleaning droid Doris) The Bridge - complete with 3D holographic displays, radars, leather recliners and of course, a button which goes boop. Normal crew bedrooms. Sadly pillow fights were banned after someone "accidentally" knocked over a water pitcher and it caused a mini fridge to set on fire. Superb recreation rooms - ping pong, pool, cards, Legos and dominos come as standard. Unused bedrooms - someone once used these for some intimacy. They must have been drunk, big red thing covered in suckers, venom sack in the tongue, we forget what that race was even called. Engine rooms, fuel goes in slot A, flames come out the back and propel the ship. Computer mainframe - the scary button room which almost gave Kaila schizophrenia once. Various other recreational facilities. Everything else:http://gyazo.com/36bf8dabba4cd31bb8ce08996a3d899b Incase tags screw up.
