Finally I have time to sit down and put all my thoughts together. These were my basic thoughts on the two worlds - which we can of course change and tweak as better ideas come along. The Westlands I imaged was in sort of a medieval era. Basic country trying to keep its people happy and to keep other countries from taking over their land. I image that on the Western board of the lands exists the ocean or a great lake. And on the east there is a set of mountain ranges. By the north and south it is connected to two other countries - which I have not been given names. The The High City is apocalyptic. Set some time after a third or fourth world war, the High City was created as a refugee from the aftermath of the war. A large city full of skyscrapers and concrete was lifted out of the earth - and suspended in the air high above the earth. However money and prestige ran dry and lawlessness took over. Therefore, the High City is a now far removed from what it used to be. A city high in the air filled with rundown buildings and very little vegetation. However, the world beneath managed to recover from the wars and has returned to being the more vibrant ideal place to live - hence the goal of most inhabits of the High City dreaming of going to the lower lands. And hopefully those descriptions weren't too vague and yet made sense.
