“In all seriousness though, I was planning to grab some breakfast after you had gone on your way,” he muttered, not really bothering to try and hide the truth. “And before you ask why I bothered to avoid you, it was just me being stupid.” He admitted that much, hoping it would take whatever wind she had in her sails.
Elizabeth decided to be in a good mood and mainly acknowledge the last part of Veilis response. He had the courage to fight back her little charade, which was refreshing and for the most part unexpected. She nodded sagely, contrasted by her playful expression. "At least you're aware of being stupid. That's the most important step. Second comes the realization that there's no escaping me." The pink haired part-time guard suddenly had a moment of realization that clearly manifested on her face before she started checking multiple pockets for something. She muttered a short curse as a second realization hit her - it wasn't there. "I was sure I had the draft of that little something I told you about..." Lizz discarded the notion with a carefree shrug. "Guess I was wrong, i'll get it to you later. I'd love to accept your generous invitation to breakfast too, but actually I don't have time to slack. It's my shift." It wasn't immediately obvious if Elizabeth completely ignored what the redhead just said, or if she intentionally interpreted it the opposite way. However, the awful pokerface she put on two seconds later heavily implied the latter. In fact, she made it sound like Veili was the one who stopped her. There was a good reason why Elizabeth Seyes didn't have a lot of friends. As if to emphasize this impression, she added "If you'll now excuse me, I have places to be." - yet still didn't move an inch, waiting patiently for Veilis reaction.
