AMPELLIO The vampire lead the two demons into the kitchen, unsurprised to find Oliver preparing food for Jecht and Trixxtal's arrival. For that reason he was momentarily confused by the demon's questioning glances, ready to point out that this was just Oliver preparing dinner and that it was nothing special, but then it dawned on him that is was indeed special, atleast for the demons. " Oh yes," he commented dryly as he stared at the charmed broomsticks sweep past him, " I said it was rare to find a magic user here, but not unheard of. Anyway, Oliver here hardly has enough magical energy to classify as a wizard. He doesn't even stand close to the kind of wizard you're looking for. Ignore him." He instructed, waving his hand Oliver's way. A quick thought flashed through his mind, a dark option where he sold Oliver out as Valente and let the demons take him back to their domain. It wouldn't be enough to fool the demon king, but it would give him and Protettore enough time to relocate elsewhere, somewhere out of the demon's reach. But it was only a passing thought and Ampellio dismissed the idea almost immediatly. Better to let these demons believe that he and everyone else knew nothing about Valente and let them leave on their own. More importantly, the smell of roasted duck filled the kitchen and Ampellio directed his attention to the oven. Blood might have been the only thing that satisfied his hunger, but human food had it's own aesthetics and Ampellio had come to enjoy all the different kinds from all over the world. " Would you two like to stay for dinner?" He asked politely, hoping they would refuse so that Valente could return and place more powerful barriers. These two demons somehow had found themselves at the fortress, perhaps by sensing Valente's magic, so what was to say that more wouldn't come in the future? TRIXXTAL The business card crumbled in Trixxtal's hands as his fist closed around it, shaking in anger. He hated crying infront of Jecht almost as much as Jecht hated seeing it, but there was no stopping the tears from spilling down his cheeks. Jecht's words had only added fuel to the fire and he wasn't about to let this arguement drop now, or let Jecht get the final say. " Yes I'm fucking crying, you bastard!! Atleast I care enough to cry. One of us should show our emotions in this shitty relationship and it's sure as hell never you!" The anger had completely taken control of his mind and he didn't even think about the words that were coming out of his mouth. He just wanted Jecht to hurt as much as he was. " You can be so inconsiderate sometimes! I fucking hate you." In one final act, Trixxtal threw the crumpled card on the floor and shoved past Jecht to go to his room, slamming and locking the door behind him. VALENTE When the argument felt like it was drawing to a close, Valente decided then to make his escape. Jecht was so preoccupied with Trixxtal that he wouldn't notice him disappearing, and after all, using the blonde vampire as a distraction had been the plan all along. Right before Trixxtal threw the business card, Valente hurriedly casted a spell and found himself on the beach, still holding his plate of chips. He was still on Jecht and Trixxtal's island, just not close enough to the house where he wouldn't hear Jecht stomping over to kick his ass, and found a retractable beach chair to sit on. There was a small part of him that felt bad about all the damage he had caused between the two vampires, but this was better than having them breathing down his neck, asking why they weren't at Tori's yet. And speaking of that...the demons were a problem as well. How had they found the fortress? Had he left any clues? Where there more coming??? Sighing, Valente reclined further back in the chair and let the soothing waves from the ocean calm him. Afterall, he could worry about those things later...
