After the events of KOTOR 2 (the good ending) the Jedi masters returned to Coruscant and started rebuilding the order with the Exile and any of his followers who were force sensitive. Master Vrook rebuilt the academy on Dantooine and, along with his Padawan Mical, have started training Jedi again. The Exile loaned the Ebon Hawk to the academy on Dantooine, as he doesn't have much use for it while teaching Padawans at the academy on Coruscant. One day, while making repairs on the ship, one of the students discovers that a significant amount of data on the ship's travel history has been blocked in the Navicomputer. After several weeks of trying to access the information he succeeds. What it says, however, is chilling. A decade ago Revan felt the Darkside pulling him into the unknown regions. There he found a new Force tradition, Ocali, meaning "Oneness", one which drew upon the dark side. To them, the body was merely a conduit, and life merely a shadow. Truly living meant being one with the force, whether alive, as a conduit for its power, or dead, as a part of it. Because the true oneness with the Force could only be achieved through death, to save another person's life, especially one who was strong in the force, was an affront to the force. For that affront, the Jedi must be punished. Revan managed to delay them by trying to teach them the ways of the Sith, and to learn from them. Soon, however, they will strike. When the Jedi Counsel learned of it, they met and came to a conclusion; the Ocali must be stopped. Jedi Masters are too valuable to send on a mission, no matter how important. If the Ocali were on their way, the Jedi Order would need to train as many Jedi as possible. Because of that, they would send the Ebon Hawk with a crew of newly graduated Knights and promising Padawans to the coordinates in the navicomputer to face this threat on their behalf. I'll play as the Padawan, partially through his knighthood trials, who hacked the navicomputer and found the history.
