The plot is still in the works, but it will be very dynamic and flexible. The story will be set in the Alaskan wilderness, in the fall with winter quickly approaching. All of the characters will have no survival experience and there has to be some kind of character development. Also flashback will be a huge deal. I honestly want all of the characters to be tied together in someway. Anyway, all of these ideas so far have been pulled from my head as I wrote this. Let me know if you are interested. I want everyone wanting to be involved to have input on how the story will go.

Interesting idea, but I have a question. If no one has survival experience, wouldn't they all die? A bunch of hysterical people who have no idea what to do, they wouldn't last a week. No fire, food, or shelter and they would be as good as dead.

Not Necessarily. In The Hatchet, the kid literally had no experience with the outdoors. He survived off of pure determination and little things he had learned in school or on TV even. But I can see where you are coming from.

this idea was based on a book in a way yes? sounds familiar after you made the other comment :O if so what was the name? (if its part of the title i apologize rather busy lol)

also i may be interested, so as far as plot, why not make it a small group [3-5] of friends that survived a helicopter small plane crash while traveling to a mountain to go on a camping trip? we could flesh out more details from there if it sounds good ^^

also, as for the camping part, id mean like a cabin so they didnt really pack much of anything. one of the characters (mayhaps yours?) would have received the hatchet :O maybe one or two of the others may have an item of use as well if they were lucky... (rambling on now XD)

I've read Hatchet at least a million times over when I was younger. I love it. I don't really want the hatchet to be the symbol, maybe something else. Also I hope a little mystery is okay because I do want them to crash land somewhere that seems abandoned but is not.
