Connor felt something prickle at the back of his neck. Something was wrong, there was a sickly feeling in the pit of his stomach. He looked down from his new half brother, no longer focused on him or whatever his answer might be. Connor spun in a slow circle surveying the area, this was how it felt during a game of capture the flag when someone was sneaking up on him, or using an ability from their godly parent to try and gain the upper hand, the only difference being that by comparison those were candle flames and this was an inferno. Then he noticed the shadows sliding through the air. "Shit." He made a lunge for the door, pushing it open and making a dash for his bed. While running he began making a list of who would have the ability to make the shadows. It had to be a god or goddess, he would have recognized the feeling of a fellow camper, and he couldn't imagine this feeling belonging to a monster, so, Hades, of course, Erebus, but he tended not to leave his wall, maybe Persephone, she was queen of the underworld or maybe Hecate with one of her spells, a handful of other gods and goddesses that he was sure his relatives in the Athena cabin would be able to name, but he couldn't, not in a split second while running for his life. He could feel the shadows coming in close, but he had made it to his bed. He tossed the mattress off of the frame and reach for his sword, logos, knowing he would need his fathers gift. He froze when beneath his bed was a piece of paper with a laughing face. "Double shit." He muttered to himself as the shadows swallowed him. Disoriented Connor shook his head and tried to take his bearings. With a deep breath he went through a calming routine, counting down from ten. By six he was no longer panicky, and he began to look around. Sand beneath his feet, cavernous walls of a well, a cavern surrounding him, and other Demigods in various states of disarray in the sand. As Erin began talking Connor listened then, when she confirmed his belief that it was either a god or goddess he decided now would be a good time to stretch. He bent his back, forwards, then backwards, then forward again, then lifting his right leg, then left stretching his quads. He crouched down, then stuck out one leg forward, leaning his weight against it, then switched to the other leg, then popped back up and stretched his arms, crossing one after the other over his chest and pulling. Connor himself had never gotten a real quest, but he had heard all the stories about how they tended to go, and he figured a bit of stretching before getting started wouldn't be remiss. "So what's out next move Erin?" Connor asked as he finished stretching. "After those three wake up of course." He was eager to get a move on.
