Leave it to an outsider to be unfamiliar with Narbu combat. They had agreed to no weapons and that was precisely what the Chieftain was doing. To class his tail as a weapon would also be classing his fists, and his feet. By that logic then he wouldn't be able to fight, that was his view on it. Granted he would give that Viral's lack of a tail was a bit unfair, perhaps he'd only use it if necessary. "I would hate for you to show your true strength right away," the Narbu retorted, giving a throaty laugh. In came another furious barrage of swipes, all of which the Chieftain took in stride. Thanks to his naturally thick skin even Viral's claws did minimal damage, he could sustain this sort of punishment for a while. The Beastman must have realized this as he changed his tactics, backing off promptly. Again Viral went about dashing around, this time trying to get onto the Narbu's back and grab at his head. He managed to climb onto his opponent cleanly, but the Chieftain was quick to try and defend himself. Reaching up and back he tried to grab hold of both Viral's sides, having the intent on lifting Viral up and throwing him away into the snow overhead. "No you don't, dar'um!" So far the fight was pretty back and forth, neither party making any real capitalizing blows. What had it been already, one minute? It was an interesting fight to watch, but at this rate Viral probably wouldn't beat the Narbu. Technically he didn't have to either, it was just last ten minutes, that was all. Knowing their friend though he would much rather win than have time run out and it be declared a draw. Takeshi could understand that sentiment all too well, a draw was just as bad as losing. "You won't have to. If Viral loses I'll take him on," he said, grinning as he gave his knuckles a cracking. If Viral lasted five minutes, he'd try to last at least six. If Viral made it nine then he'd go the whole ten. "But you could, you know. Nothing's stopping you from using it on me," Takeshi pointed out. "Though if you try hitting me with it I might bite it, just putting that out there."
