8 twiddled his electronic fingers. Vayes usually had a plan, after all, he was the captain, but he didn't seem to be coming up with ideas this time around. Exasado was trying to drawing in her small chair behind Vayes on a tablet she had brought along with her; it usually was there when she had nothing to do, or whenever she wanted to express a little artistic talent. 8 took a look at the screen; she was drawing a Nunexian dragon; they hadn't seen one of those for years. Suddenly, the sound of an explosion and the ship shaking snapped them all back into reality. Vayes quickly looked out at the dreadnaught; no exterior debris. The explosion should have come from inside. "8, detach and convert to the drill. We're going in." 8 responded quickly, turning the nose of the ship into a cylindrical drill. "Use the melters this time around. You remember the last time we came in through solid steel with a buzzsaw, ahah." Vayes said. With a hiss and a few pops of molten steel bubbles, the heat came through the hull of the cruiser. Opening up the inside of the drill, Vayes and Exasado walked through. There were no pirates around, as far as they could tell. "Nice choice on the entrance location" Exasado quipped. Vayes grumbled and swatted away the charred clothing. The closet door, fortunately, opened from both sides. 8 managed an audible chuckle from the HUD before closing the hatch. He would stay, of course, but any possibilities of the wrong bounty hunter climbing in was not a risk he wanted to take. Vayes sighed happily. None of the pirates seemed to have noticed their entrance. Unsheathing his laser pistols, he stood in the bedroom for a moment. Some voices could be heard down the hall; "Tomas said he had disabled the bomb, the dumb f***. I'd like to stab him in the heart, but he's already dead, ahahaha." the other pirate moaned. "You know what, just shut up. Shut up! Your ass got us here in the first place, grabbing the mops to clean up the blood. Shut your face, shut it, shut it, shut it!" "Hey man, no need to be like that. At least you don't have to interrogate the captain. I heard he's a crude bastard." "I'd much rather be in the cafeteria with the captain than here, talking s***, with you!" The two voices stalked off a short while later, apparently having grabbed all the cleaning utensils they needed. Vayes smiled. Perhaps this bounty would be easier than he thought.
