The Chieftain wasn't going to back down, even with this new energy coming to the surface. It was dangerous and potent, but he refused to let himself be dissuaded. Too much was on the line here for this duel, he couldn't afford to back down for anything. Besides, minor burns were scarcely going to bring him down, they were as damaging as the scratches he'd sustained earlier. Curiously enough a sudden burst of energy wasn't the only thing that had happened in the last few moments. Viral had transformed, by the looks of it, into something the Narbu didn't recognize. Had he not known the fighter beforehand he wouldn't know any better, this had him greatly curious. That blasted Saiyan though, coming over and trying to back his friend out of the duel. Was there something to be concerned of with this change then? Bah, it didn't matter. "Hold your tongue pup. You're insulting me by saying we should stop, as though I fear Viral," the Chieftain spoke, looking back at the Beastman. As he'd expected Viral had no intention of backing down either, they were going to carry on through this fight of theirs no matter what. The situation had become a bit more complicated than the Chieftain had bargained for. Viral now possessed greater speed and strength most likely, and top it all off that meddlesome energy of his was causing problems. Nothing was a bigger threat than a wild animal that could be calculating and methodical, which was what the Beastman had essentially become. Staring down the other man he watched as Viral jumped into the air, coming down with his claws swinging, looking for blood. Lifting his arms up overhead he didn't block the swipes, but rather caught Viral on his forearms, keeping him high enough to avoid being scratched anywhere important. With a grunt of effort he threw the Beastman behind him, spinning around as he did so. Hunching down again the Chieftain slammed his arms into the ground, and with a push drove forward again, stretching himself out like a bullet and twisting in mid air as he jumped, giving the illusion of a rotating projectile. Damn it, Viral shouldn't be fighting right now. He was changing, or had changed, and that was never a good sign. There was no way of knowing if he would be able to control himself now, Vegeta had kept their training private so no one really knew. From what he heard their friend sounded lucid enough, though his energy was definitely spiking. If the Chieftain knew what he was up against perhaps he'd be more cautious, but the Narbu went right on ahead with their duel. "Should we get Vegeta...? Or Yumi...?" Takeshi asked himself, backing off a bit. One of them could definitely talk Viral down, he and Shu were sort of useless in that regard. Viral went right back on into it, throwing himself at the Chieftain in an unusually careless attack for him. It was blocked, and with their friend aside the Narbu went on the attack, throwing himself at Viral in turn in some strange maneuvers. "Viral! You've got to stop!"
