Rand looked over the group, unsure of what to do or say. If this was what he suspected, he did not want to stir a panic. “Connor, check the field, look for anything useful, I’ll try to calm this group down,” Rand ordered. Connor gave a brief nod and walked off, making a wide circle around where they were. Rand stood straighter, peering over everyone in the group. Many seemed confused, several seemingly irritated or angry, and one girl seemed to be having a panic attack. Rand frowned, if one girl was scared that could spread quickly, and it’d be harder to keep them together and calm. The hunter approached the girl who had cried out, getting on a knee to her level. She had dirt all over and seemed quite cute, but he shouldn’t be thinking about that right now. Oh I hate doing this, Rand thought. He was not the leader type, but it already seemed like he needed to be one. “Hey, are you alright?” Rand asked the girl, giving a small smile. Getting her calm was the first priority, then getting everyone out of here would be the second. “You’re alright, I can’t answer your questions but I’ll keep you safe alright?” ------ Nixon smirked as he looked over at the jumpy lycan. “I know, waiting an hour is never fun. Maybe I should’ve found a trickster to jump me ahead of time,” he said to her. The countdown timer continued as Nixon watched the cameras, seeing Pandora already start her innocent act. He’d wonder how many she’d get from this one. He could remember other hunts with her vaguely but...they still seemed off. That was strange, he could remember who she was but not how specifically. Nixon shook his head and sat near the door. He blinked away for a couple seconds then blinked back holding his black spear. It was a gift from the Manager after his long service, and it had served nicely. Nixon twirled the spear, eyeing it carefully. Were there any hunters in the group? Knowing the Manager that was a probably. He’d have to watch those ones, see if there was a challenge. Nixon grinned, challenges were always fun to handle. --------- The Manager looked away from his monitor and stared over at Edward. The wizard had proved helpful in many circumstances but he was double-edged in some cases. “There’s enough humans to go around for a new pet of yours,” the Manager said. “But I agree that you could be doing something useful in the meantime.” The Manager peered back at his monitor. “Ah, could you check on Nixon for me? He may need another one of his doses fairly soon and Sarah isn’t back from her trip to give it to him. Just call me up if there’s a problem.”
