Firing out at the young woman, Kalani followed the old mans lead, evading the fireballs and jumping down the drain. Landing into the water with a soft grunt, she turned her gaze up just as the officers peaked down and prepared to jump. Standing quickly Kalani raised her palms sending two heavy streams of water spurting up and out of the manhole, making sure the officers couldn’t follow them slender arms began to briskly twist in a clock wise motion causing the water to intertwine. Soft cracking could be heard as its temperature began to cool, solidify into a thick, and coiled icicle blocking the entry way. With a smirk on her face, and the wild look in her eyes once again she turned her sights down the passage way. Giving the airbender an unintentional head start, Kalani began to take strong steps forward, and with no resistance from the water she began to sprint down the tunnel. Swiping a flat palm along the top of the stream just as she jumped out of the water and kicked off the wall, a thin, oval shaped sheet of ice materialized beneath her feet. Moving fluidly as she landed Kalani’s hands pulled back, forcing the current to strengthen and large wave to carry her down at intense speeds. Wind and water whipped past her grinning face as she sped down the main passage way. Cooped up for the past few months since her arrival, it had been a long time since Kalani had done anything fun. Of course, while many didn’t consider such a violent confrontation as means of entertainment, it had cured Kalani of cabin fever, allowing the tense young woman to finally relax and let loose. Catching sight of the airbender up ahead, a playful laugh rumbled from her chest before she called out to him, “Don’t go the wrong way!” Carried by the wave she crouched low along her board, and with a firm grip along the cold rim, Kalani’s free hand swept out changing the currents direction and forcing her to take a hard right turn down another dark passage way. The sewage system was like a maze, those that didn’t know its twists and turns always ended up lost, but for Kalani and the other members of the Rising that called this place home, navigating through the tunnels were a cinch. Taking the lead, Kalani guided the old man for quite some time, and as they drew deeper she knew they would be arriving at the first destination at any minute. Catching sight of the rotting iron door, her left arm raised up while her left lowered, causing the current to carry her softly to the floor and the board to dissolve beneath her feet. Still moving with the momentum, the thick wave crashed against the wall with a dull thud as water swirled around Kalani's legs as before it finally settled, allowing silence to take over. Standing before the door, the tanned young woman stood tall and proud, and once the airbender caught up she spoke up in a confident tone, “Before we go any further I think it’s time I properly introduce myself,” Raising her hand out, a toothy grin sat along her features, “Name’s Kalani, and if you’re the person I think you are, then I’ll be your guide to the resistance from here on out."
