[hider=January 1st, 1950 an emergency convening of the Bundestag]The great hawk hovered above Konrad, the booming lights lit the room with a pristine auora. And the audience stared silently, in anticaption.
"I come before all today, with not just proposals, bills, or demands on behalf of the common good of Deutschland. WIth advice temperred in wisdom I come, to meet compromise and progress hand in hand!"
Konrad paused breifly looking into the audience with a serious glare.
"The Deutsche nation stands on wobbly stilts, as we traverse an arduous terrain towards economic stability. I have heard the fears of common men who would fear that the Mark would agian become but fire kindling in cold winter nights. We must squash this plausibility with new economic clauses that until today would be unheard of. The common man must be given his qaurter to build with his own hands a new Deutschland brick by brick."

"We must seek new and stuanch partners in this world, and to that the Western nations hold our gratitude for their countinued support in our darkest hour. To France, and Britain shall our strongest brothers in arms reside. For our nation stands divided, and Berlin walled off to the public."

A few whispers flutterred here and there, like passing wind.
"Before we can SHOUT!"Konrad yelled
"We must talk."
"Before we can talk"
"We must whisper"Konrad said in a hushed tone.

"It is our duty to the people, to not let our emotion stand in the way of proper decision making. For I know those who would ignore the border and wish war upon us. We approach a new time, obscured by the uncertanties of the future. We must start from the bottom to the top, to confront new challanges economic or otherwise to create a better nation. A nation that will not let the stains of the past linger, a new Deutschland that will stand up sun or rain, wind or storm!"

"It is in this, that I trust all of you convened here today. I trust all of you to do your part, to scrutinize all points of any proposal given today. I only ask the you leave your bias home, that we come together and solve the crisis on hand for the greater good"[/hider]
