Edward attention suddenly perked up, "Well, why haven't you told me sooner. With your permission, I could look into a more permanent solution." he then paused, and realized what had said and how it might not be perceived, so he quickly added after catching it, "Without killing him or mind-wiping him. While I would need to know about the nature of this problem, I could look into it. While I have heard of objects and more rarely people causing people to go insane in their presence, I have quite heard tales of insanity actually moving to another person, not without actual intention behind it, and I presume you have already ruled out it as an aura effect. I mean, this could be any number of things, ranging from benign to unworldly eldritch terrors that want to enter our realm and devour our minds, our souls, and more than likely our bodies as well." As he continued his trade-mark long-winded ranting, he was also thinking Edward is insane, but he is not stupid. More than likely, the Manager probably knows what is going on, however the Manager normally is quite truthful, he will bend the truth but hardly ever break it, but the Manager knows more details about this, how else would someone in this facility know how to effectively counter-act it. This also must be a normal brain-washing, as normally he is rather open about who is under his spell and who isn't, and he has enough control over his power to keep it in check anyways, and as far Edward knew the only thing Nixon was able to do is teleport, he shouldn't be able to break the Manager's power, and he most definitely couldn't redirect it. He devised a plan, if the Manager allowed it, he would openly try to figure out what was going, as his mind was naturally very curious about the unknown and if it is beyond the manager, it has a good chance that it could turn around and try to murder everyone, which is his job. However if the manager was openly against the idea, than he should allow it be on the back-burner, mostly to keep the manager's favor as he was the key to being able to use magic on the other supernatural, a very powerful boon the Manager's support gives he is not quite ready to give up, and if the Manager denied, more than likely it is something the Manager knows more than he is letting on, or it is very dangerous. In the first case, a through examination is not needed as it is probably under control and if the Manager wants to keep it hush-hush, than that is fine with Edward. He doesn't need to really pry into the Manager's darker deeds. When it becomes important for him to know, he will know. In the second case, if it is dangerous, than being close to it and probing it probably is not a good idea. As he concluded his train of thought, he look at the cabinet, focused on the cabinet and dragged through the ether on of needles, mostly because he was not a fan of physical labor and sometimes he just liked being showy. He considered adding sparkles to it as it reappeared but decided against it. He looked at the needle and at a few cursory glances it didn't look like anything too special, albeit he dabbles in alchemy so living gloo in the needle wouldn't look anything to special. He did not wish to magical view it let as one, it would go against his plan, two, this stuff was designed to contain insanity, he had no idea what this stuff could do to his psyche if he basically looked at it with his mind.
