Appearance: Makoto stands at an even height of 6' with an average, but healthy build, he has a fair complexion, long, clean blond hair that is almost exclusively seen tied up into a ponytail high up on the back though some days can slope down depending on his mood, and clear grey eyes. Another exclusive quirk that he is seen with is a pair of red leaf-shaped cloth worn with his ponytail at about a half length to his ponytail. His casuals tends to be non-specific, wearing an assortment of plain colors of t-shirts, a black jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes. While going to school, he opts to wearing the uniform and while working at the restaurant a chef's garment.

Personality: Makoto lives with a relaxed personality, a calm, insightful, and morally sympathetic person that anyone can approach without much intimidation. Not much of an outgoing person, but also not a solitary type as he picks his moments to converse when needed or speaks with people who wants to talk to him. He values others over himself, offering help to those who comes to him for his knowledge or insight, even physical help when needed. While he does not actively seek those in need of help, in a case of others truly needing help, he will intervene to help without expectations of being rewarded. He does take a bit of time to do stuff that he enjoys, such as making friends or cooking.

Usually busy with his family and work, he can't really do much for his social life out of his own choice to help out. Here and there though, he makes plans ahead of time, letting everyone involved with the plan know that he has set time aside to do. With this, he doesn't have quite a lot of friends, but the friends that he does make are of quality with those who can understand his situations. More often when he's not busy, he invites his friends over to the restaurant to sit down and spend time and going out, making most of his time he can to enjoy it.

In terms of danger or difficult situations he faces, Makoto stays headstrong, tackling the problem in various ways he can possible, whether it be solving a problem with his insight, or standing firm against danger with the will to fight it. He tends to stay cool-headed, having a very solid fortitude without erupting into anger or excessive force. He doesn't care for bullies or troublemakers at all, usually attempting to defuse the problem calmly with hopes that they turn around and walk away. If all else fails and they continue with the attacks, he will defend himself or others from them. He also is the type that takes pain, both physically and emotionally with gritted teeth, recovering pretty fast to his calm personality as if the pain hasn't hit him at all.

Backstory: Makoto was born in Hirameki under a pair of chefs who recently had moved to Hirameki a few years ago to establish a teppanyaki-style restaurant. While it was a slow start, it had allowed them to spend time with their first born and nurture him with the possibilities in the future. Makoto grew to a fine child who has gain the interest in watching his parents work around in the restaurant that was starting to grow as more and more people came to eat their cooking. At the age of ten, his parents conceived another child to add to the family, this time to be his younger sister named Haruko. He originally wasn't sure that he wanted a sibling, having been the only sibling before, but he quickly grew into the idea of having a younger sibling.

In the transition of middle school, that was when he started making quite a bit of friends to be with. That was also when he got a strong desire to learn how to cook from his parents. It was slow and a little frustrating that he couldn't get started on cooking like his parents, but he accepted that fact and went to started improving on his skills at cooking. Eventually came a turning point when he started letting his hair grow to eventually what it became. Often being picked by those making fun of it and losing some friends who had lost interest in him, he grew a fortitude to deal with the bullies and acceptance to move on from losing his friends, now being a handpicked group that he trusts.

Another turning point in his life came in the last years of middle when he was able to prove his skills at cooking, being accepted into being able to cook food up at front with his parents as a co-chef for the restaurant. Even though it was a desire that was granted, it came with its responsibility that he had to do. With that, he became to the point of being busy helping which cuts out the time that missed out on with his friends. He carried on to high school, going to Satoru High with his friends with the full investment of school and working at the restaurant which tends to get busy, able to spend some time here and there for social life outside of school and the restaurant. Now on his last year of school, he intends to go with the flow of life everyday, pre-determined that after school he'll be devoting towards working at the restaurant full time.
