If I can answer your 4th and 5th questions though- there are 2 Gryffindor characters, and 1 Ravenclaw. Each has their own reason for accepting Zef. My CS was updated 3 days ago to reflect how she became friends with the other 3, including him. The others you'd have to ask or see their CS's if they did the same as I did.
