BRIEF Bio - Ororo faced a lot of bullying in the middle school she went to because of the type of clothes she wore to class. Growing up in the slums didn't help, especially during high school because as best as she tried to stay out of trouble, certain gang members would habitually extort her and corner her off in allyways. Her powers had manifested when she was ten but she didnt realize the correlation until she was older and even went to far as to hide it since she was different enough. It was hard to control it sometimes causing record heat waves etc but when she turned 16, she was contacted telepathically by xavier and was on the path to becoming an x-man
Key Differences - Mom died when Ororo was young, so her father relocated to America (from Africa). He took a job as a custodian at a school in brooklyn and raised Ororo in the hood.
