Today had been lovely... Had... Started off as any other school day, double Physics, followed by Double Maths and History, but then there was the alien invasion right before lunch, and that kind of threw off the entire day. Peter bolted across the football field at full speed. He skidded to a halt as he heard a whining sound, he looked around and saw Flash Thompson, the school football star and local bully. He was hidden under the bleachers in the fetal position. "And now you know why we didn't choose someone like him..." said the voice in Peters chest, he looked down at his black tee-shirt. He shook his head before running somewhere else, he needed somewhere to suit up that he wouldn't be seen. Vaulting a waist-high wall, he was a little confused for a second when he failed to land on anything, then realized quickly what was happening. He fell for a about half a second, before landing on his feet. He saw in front of him, the woman that had granted his powers. Madam Webb as she called herself. "You know why you are here?" asked Webb. "Well... Personally, I think the alien invasion looming overhead is too easy a guess..." she pouted at him. "I know exactly what you're about to say." he said. "This threat is unlike any you've ever faced." they both said at the same time. she stared at him disapprovingly with her pitch-black glasses that gave him the impression that if he stared too long, his eyes would spontaneously-combust. "This will push everything you have learned over the last few weeks to your limit..." they both said at the same time again, she flicked her wrist and Venom overtook Peters hand, slapping him in the face with it. "OW!" he exclaimed. "Who's side are you on, mine, or Captain Exposition over here?" he asked. Venom forced him to slap himself again. "Ask a stupid question..." "I had hoped to have trained you a little more before this happened, but this is nary the time for hopes and should-haves. What looms above your precious city is a being of unimaginable power. One that, if left unchecked, can and will consume the whole planet." "Well... I suppose he's being a gentleman, at least dining before screwing us..." mumbled Peter. "So... If this is a Planet eater, then what are me and the Sludge-dance kid supposed to do?" "Fortunately, he has certain restrictions on his power. As such, he will rely entirely on his Herald to prepare the planet for consumption. Defeat the Herald and it will defeat him as well." she said. "Alright." Peter said, the Symbiont crawling over him into the suit. "Let's go kick some herald butt." he said. At that point, he blinked and was in an alleyway, the sound of an intense battle, screaming and rioting filled his ears. He shot out a web and was catapulted up to the top of the building behind him, looking around, he saw a man fighting a giant alien creature. "That the Herald?" he asked Venom. "Indeed it is. But be careful. This one isn't like those thugs you've been fighting, this one will not merely defecate himself by throwing him high into the air." replied the suit. Peter shot a pair of webs onto a pair of chimneys, before running back and using it as a giant catapult, shooting him clear across the street, but he shot a web onto the back of Terrax and yanked, using his momentum to turn and head straight for Terrax, looking to plant both feet in the back of his head.
