"Thank you for your company." Oh yeh! Scored some brownie points. Maverick grinned internally. Qyx began to make them drinks, which Maverick wasn't entirely interested in because it was solid food he craved. His gaze was instead directed at the spooked animal aboard with them- Nichelleprat? Maverick had been all over the world and never heard of such an absurd name. He glanced over her features once more, and from the vibe he was getting, she must have felt completely out of place. Maverick sighed, I hope I'm not joined in this journey with some pretty hapless and hopeless humans. That would be pathetic. Maverick turned back to find Qyx and get Sydney settled in, but she had vanished with almost ninja prowess. And like a shinobi, she reappeared, and the goodies she brought with tantalized Maverick's mouth even from a distance. He immediately grabbed one without much inspection or thought. He took a bite as he clutched his plant in the crook of his arm. The sweetness and textures assaulted his mouth, and he smiled with a mouthful at those who were also enjoying the refreshments, namely Jennifer and Devon. Their presence seemed to be more comfortable than the other guests. He scarfed the appetizer down quickly with a groan of satisfaction. "Damn that was tasty." Although they'd taste so much better with a hint of Mary-J he deviously delighted in his plot and gave Devon a sort of sly criminal grin. "Look." The sight that unfolded above them made him forget the succulent after taste of the foreign food he had just enjoyed. He gasped in wonder, watching the nebulous interstellar gas clouds pass them by. Warm hues of apricot orange and lush violets and cold tints of lonely space blues and greens all permeated their view. He could almost see the bend of space because of how fast they were travelling. Planets came in and out of view as they passed them, and stars were closer than ever. Once again, the sight made Maverick slightly emotional, but this time he was stunned into silence. But a man has priorities. He could guess that the various light spectra coming in from the myriad of stars they were travelling among would most certainly stress Sydney. This was definitely a matter that concerned him. So before Qyx could ninja-vanish once more, he approached her with this plant in his hands. "So you said you would have suitable accommodations for my baby here? Could you show me where those are please?" he said with concern. He wasn't quite sure if Qyx knew what was required to grow a plant in a vegetative state, but he was positive he could make due with whatever she provided.
