Hadley shook her head softly. She didn't want to compete against who had it worse, they all had it bad. They all had been dealt the wrong hand in this life somehow. Hadley gave Alex a small smile, [i]"Thankyou."[/i] she offered genuinely, nodding. [i]"The same goes for you, anytime, anywhere."[/i] she completed the train of thought as she looked around the dining room. Only a few of the children had trailed in, and one was standing by the doorway looking lonely. [i]"Who is that?"[/i] she wondered watching the girl come in and find a spot by herself. Hadley supposed she didn't want company or she would have came and sat next to someone. [i]"I'm starving."[/i] Hadley admitted to Alex, her hand touching her tummy in response to the hunger that swept through her.
