I can't answer everything, as I am not the [b]Great All Knowing and Wise Kapuchu[/b] (That's his/her/nir new title, okay everyone?)

But to try and help as much as I can, if you've read my (and idk about Kapu's) character sheet or the set-up info, shifters can have a different set of clothing when they shift. Of course, the shoulder mounted weaponry wouldn't make as much sense, seeing how Earth's mechs were essentially useless, even with all their weaponry. (And nerdy nitpick time- but seriously? Titanium with this tech level? Carbon nanotubes and other nanomaterials are where it's at. Lighter, stronger, harder, tougher, etc...)

As far as shifter form: From what I understand, we can shift between the two at will. Your human form is still your human form, and while maybe you'll have a teensy bit of magic as such, it doesn't [i]really[/i] kick in until you shift. As far as the shifter form, as long as you're in keeping with the class and whatnot (no 20ft Fae or super short Titans), you're basically only bound by the rules, logic, and your imagination.

And I imagine that exchanging brute force for extra mobility and speed is perfectly fine, again if you've read my own character sheet, I traded some speed for a strength and endurance power-up.

Of course I'm just speculating, so take my input with a grain of salt.

And as to whether it's open...? Eeeh... probably not, but the fact that you're putting actual forethought into this does make me hope Kapu might make an exception.
