A singed, fingerless leather glove is worn over his right hand. [b]Psychological Description:[/b] Loud, uncooperative, self-centred and somewhat deranged. Mikael appears to take nothing he encounters seriously, and is rarely one to submit to authority. He lives to enjoy anarchy, and desires power only to partake in greater chaos. He claims to have no personal objective, and garners satisfaction in learning what makes others tick. The thrills of fighting and sabotage have since become his only pastimes, and the promise of either may be the only sure-fire way to hold his attention. He moves with a quirky, yet confident gait, and shivers with hyperactivity. His voice is rich yet obnoxious, shifting tones with each sentence. His legs are pretty strong, and he is able to take a 12ft fall without harm. His upper body strength lacks in comparison, but is enough to hold his own weight for an hour. •[u]Hand-to-Hand Proficiency[/u]: Mikael's experienced fighting style adopts Muay Thai influences, favouring highly precise kicks and elbow strikes. He is no master of the art, but he can certainly hold his own. •[u]Weapons Knowledge[/u]:Though vastly lacking experience, Mikael is well-versed in how modern firearms and blades are used in combat, and understands the basics of using various pistols and rifles. --- [b]Engineered Abilities:[/b] •[u]PlasTec Conversion[/u]: The PlasTec Gene, in brief, was the result of a discovery to fuse an illustrious synthesized material with the human body. Though labelled as a gene, the alterations caused by it stretch beyond biological effects, altering the very laws by which the inheritor interacts with the world. Little is truly known about the material itself, and though It is assumed that different and more extreme variations exist, they have yet to be proven in practice. Shared by all PlasTec users, any plasma, fire, lightning and non-elemental magic entering Mikael's immediate range, affects him as raw kinetic energy instead. Rather than being burned or electrocuted by such attacks, Mikael is propelled forcefully by them. Successful PlasTec conversions often result in anomalies unique to a given individual. Research has been made to stabilise their occurrence, but to no avail. Mikael's own anomalies are listed as follows: •[u]PlasTec Anomaly Unique-003 [Battery][/u]: Mikael can store impossible masses of energy within his bloodstream at a time, enough to render his physical and plasma abilities unlimited (except by his respiration). The substance within his veins is incredibly thick; he bleeds slowly as a result, and objects which puncture him are slowed to an extent. His heart rate rarely falls below 100 beats per minute, and may in fact be heard by human ear. •[u]PlasTec Anomaly Common-007 [Alert][/u]: Mikael has an artificially heightened sense of awareness. Changes in his surroundings, or of people he has met, will rarely go unnoticed by him. Likewise, he has a solid grasp of his mental and physical status, letting him swiftly notice changes such as poisoning or hidden injuries. --- [b]Engineered Powers:[/b] •[u]PlasTec Concept 001 [Sphere][/u]: The first and simplest PlasTec weapon, developed and programmed into Mikael's genetics after the PlasTec conversion was successful. Due to its high stamina use, Mikael's 'Battery' anomaly has made him the only person capable of using the Concept effectively. Mikael's signature power lets him form neon-purple spheres of plasma that have explosive force. They grow in size as Mikael charges them, which in turn increases their damage, durability and blast radius. They are less lethal than conventional explosives, e.g. a hand grenade, but will inflict knockback, burning and minor electrocution upon anyone caught by them. Mikael charges these 'Energy Spheres' at a rate of 3ft diameter per tick, or 5ft if charging a sphere with both hands; the latter of these is considerably more exhausting. Their weight and durability can be compared to hardened glass -- yet, due to their being plasma, Mikael alone is able to shift them with relative ease. Once having released a sphere, Mikael may detonate it instantly, or after a timer dependant on the sphere's size (a 5ft sphere = a 5-second timer before detonating). The explosion's size is also proportional to the size of a sphere (5ft sphere = 15ft blast radius). Alternatively, Energy Spheres will detonate if enough force is applied to shatter them. Finally, these Energy Spheres share properties with Mikael's 'PlasTec Conversion'. This means that a blast from a Plasma Sphere may launch another sphere -- or Mikael himself -- at a heightened speed, without causing direct damage. By standing at the centre of a blast, Mikael can propel himself at up to 10 mph times the sphere's size. Spheres smaller or larger than Mikael can be launched at higher or lower speeds, respectively. [/hider2] [b]Equipment:[/b] •A post-modern combat knife, 5 inches in blade length with a charcoal finish. It is either kept sheathed on his belt, or wielded in his left hand. Its materials are highly refined and robust, and the blade is a little thicker than most. •His jacket is made from a sturdy leather, his trousers fireproof, and his shoes notably resistant to wear. •Often carries one or several caffeinated beverages on his person. [b]History:[/b] The youngest of three orphaned siblings, brought into an unnamed research project following the aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse. As the few survivors underwent altered genetics from the planet's radiation, it was discovered that a select few were compatible with the PlasTec Gene; a nigh-magical technology discovered long before the incident, but which no human was able to utilise prior. In return for their shelter and newfound power, authorities behind the project expected the subjects to aid in their cause of ending the current world anarchy. Mikael however, who inherited the most destructive PlasTec Concept, was one of few who declined. In direct conflict with his eldest sibling, a fight arose -- causing damage across a city-wide scale, and obliterating the research base in the process. The few remaining authorities and factions branded PlasTec wielders as threats, and all that were involved were forced to scatter. Mikael enters the Everlasting Arena as a playground to test his widely unexplored powers, and in high hopes of encountering a foe who could compare to his older brother. As an extra, any fame he garners could only help in guiding the many dozen stragglers who still seek revenge for their exile, whom he equally anticipates. [/hider]
