Goal: Drake wants to find out the story behind his mother and why is it that fire does not hurt him. History: Roughly two decades ago there was a tale of a Duke whom fell in love with a woman. A woman with no name, no lineage, no history. She appeared in the church one night without her memory during the Dukes coming of age cerimony. It was love at first sight. Dismissing the rest of his party he put all his energy into helping this woman figure out who she was. Using any connection possible to spread news of this "Red haired, green eyed woman with no recollection of her past and mysterious birthmark on her shoulder" Years past and no new information came to them. Meanwhile, the Duke spent every moment with her and both enjoyed eachothers company. A year passed and still no news but neither cared anymore. They were both madly in love and the woman no longer cared, she loved her new life and the family they were soon to have. On their wedding night during their cerimony a ragged old woman wearing a unique dark garb crashed the wedding bearing info about the bride to be. The old woman came bearing an old tome stating a prophecy. Inside this tome it shown a drawing with an eerie resemblance of a woman with red hair simply named "The Phoenix witch." In the picture the womans dress draped low, showing the same birthmark in the shape of a wing. The tale tied to it spoke of a woman born of fire whom was destined to bear the child of royal blood and bring forth a new world. Most would call this the Apocalypse, and once the Duke read the prophecy, he convinced himself he was under some kind of spell, there was no way it could be true love with something considered so evil. He sent her away to be burned at the stake, along with the book and the ragged old woman. He just wanted to forget it all, purify his pain with fire. The next day the two were sent to the publuc circle where many gathered to see this "Phoenix Witch", all they saw was an old woman and an eight month old pregnant woman still in her wedding dress which was now soiled and torn from spending the night in the dungeon. Both were escorted and tied back to back on a large stake in the center of a massive bonfire. The Duke himself at the base with a torch in hand. Both women were in tears as they stood there arms bound behind eachother. A tear fell from the Dukes eye as he dropped the torch and set them ablaze. Screams of agony filled the fire and the dry straw and wood quickly turned to ash. The Duke refused to blink as he watched the love of his life turn to nothing but cinder. The screams slowly turned to feint crys and what could be heard next sounded like a babys whimper. The whole crowd went into an uproar "There's a baby in there!" "Get some water!" "Its only a child!" The Duke simply stood in disbelief as the crowd gathered buckets of water and doused the flame until a thick white smoke covered the pit. A Baby born in the fire, a story to be told for years to come. The Duke despite his whole display took the child in as a way of repenting for what he did. His love despite burning the witch never faded, proof it was not a spell. He taught the child all he knew and then some. Named him Drahcir meaning "Fireborn" in old tongue. Called him his son, never told him of his mother but word of tongue is hard to muffle. Drake grew up to be quite the intelligent young man, learning to read and write at a very young age, and often thinking up new ways of war. Before he was even ten. His days spent in the libraries took a toll on his physique, unable to wield a sword himself but reading every book on swordsmanship in the vast library as well as many other subjects proved him to be well versed in many subjects regarding war or nature. Drahcir Every once and a while he would visit the court mage whom taught him some spells, he managed to learn quite a few but his affinity was for incantations relating to fire. The court mage grew fond of the boy and was impressed with his abilities. One day the mage accidently slipped about his mother. Out of hatred and anger Drahcir fought with his father whom did not deny him the truth any longer. He stormed out in a rage and took off into the village.Incidently this was also the time in which he "accidently" found out about his immunity to fire no matter how big. Flinging a fireball into a rather large pile of horse excrement in an attempt to subdue his anger ended up in burning the entire stable along with twenty horses, cows, pigs and half the villages wheat supply. In fear of the consequences of his actions, Drahcir ran away. His death was assumed by all except his own father whom knew of his gift from his mother and sent guards in secret searching for the boy, hoping to forgive him about the barn and apologize himself about refusing to tell him about his mother. Drachir took this differently and assumed his father was out for justice. Still on the run today he goes by the name Drake and lives as a Vagrant. Personality: Id prefer to play out his personality in game since I'm still unsure which way I will go with it yet. Hope that's okay.
