Well, according to the Vatican (Catholic life handbook), homosexual marriage is prohibited. But Pope Francis said that we had to respect and accept everyone. Not sure if he meant LGBT Catholics too. Being a straight Protestant, I refer to the Bible as my life handbook and it emphasizes that the union of man and woman was, is, and always will be the truly lawful form of matrimonial union. It also describes same-sex marriage as deplorable and immoral (if i remember correctly). I've heard, from some people, that there are stories of people switching sexuality. I'm actually just one of those 'relaxed' Catholic/Christians that don't really care whatever the hell other people say as long as they don't try to forcefully impose it on me or my loved ones. For me, what matters is I stay straight and that's it. I am NOT anti-gay or anything of the sort. Just saying what my religion believes in.
