@Enix: I guess I could allow a variation of this. Considering animal's lack a soul (as explained in the FAQ; the soul is what differentiates the humans as a higher being, different from animals), you could hypothetically use magic to transfer your soul (your consciousness) into the raven for a time. I mean, I'm not sure how else to approach it; even though, it was said before that the soul and spirit could never really be divided. I guess, we'll have to get some thinking and discussion going on the states of the spirit and soul to get this spell to function properly, within the realm and its constraints. That said, once allowed, considering the complex task of doing this, this Sight-Spell would probably have a long time of preparation, or would not be at the full power that you first envisioned it to be. Plus, the consequences could be dire. Perhaps if the raven is killed while the caster's soul is in it, the soul is lost with the raven, resulting in the caster basically becoming incapable of higher, mental functions; basically, becoming like an animal in their own right. For clarification, I suggest reading the FAQ portion having to do with creature, life and death. particularly the section on the body, spirit and soul.
