Blinking slowly Yu smiles softly, standing up straight. His head rotates this way and that, making sure no one is around. Once he is sure he steps in a little closer to the youth and kneels down. With his smile still in place he motions for the young man to join him. “Would you come down here for a moment? You are not being rude, however I would like for you to have as much proof as you need.” The human nodded, ever so slightly confused by the request, but willing to oblige. He knelt down in front of the youkai, with only the slightest feeling of confusion. Well, this isn't the weirdest thing I've ever done. The smile never wavers as he waits for the boy to get settled. Once in place he gently reaches out for one of Ethan's hands and lifts it up. Careful to move slowly he places the boy's palm over his heart and for a few seconds nothing happens however after a moment he begins shifting back into his animal form. His body shrinks, fur erupts across his skin and the clothing vanishes. The transformation is quite fluid and beautiful, and by the end Yu stands on his hind legs in front of the youth with his paws crisscrossed atop the extended arm. He begins purring loudly under the youth's palm. Ethan adjusted his glasses with his other hands, watching with the wide eyes of a child. "That is amazing..." he muttered, fascinated and stunned. Not wanting to keep staring at Yu like the youkai was on display or something, he stood up and softened. "You are a remarkable being," he commented, still unable to keep the awe from his voice. Yu's purrs redouble at the obvious amazement on the youth's face. As a feline, he loves the positive attention and as he drops on to all fours he slips forward to rub against Ethan's legs. Looking up he murmurs softly, “Thank you. I find you quite interesting as well.” Taking a few paces away, he turns and sits, picking his paw and rubbing his face a few times before saying, “Should we part for the evening? This would give you time to think, and you know where to find me I hope.” If I leave, I will surely find that this has all been a dream. Besides, I like his company. Ethan laughed slightly. "Me? Interesting? I'm just a boring human," he replied teasingly. "Thank you for indulging me. Goodnight." As he turned away, he remembered something. "Wait, I don't even know what to call you... I'm always forgetting to ask that," he said, turning back. Yu lets out a yawn, shaking his head. “I think you are interesting. . .” He gives a little bow, watching the boy leave for a few seconds before he turns back. Trotting forward Yu pauses next to the youth and looks up. “My name is Yu, and you little one?” "Ethan," the young man replied, smiling a little. Yu returns the smile and before heading out he pushes up once more on to his back legs and licks the human's hand. Dropping back down the youkai makes his way down the walk until he is beside a wall. Once at the wall he launches himself the fifteen feet into he air it takes to get atop it before racing off towards his favorite evening place to find food. A family that has taking a liking to him leave a bowl of scraps out every evening, and if he gets there before other scavengers he normally gets a fairly good meal. As he runs he thinks about the encounter with Ethan. 'He looked really amazed, and he asked smart questions. He really should not be attacked the way he is. . .' At the thought of him being attacked Yu picks up his speed, determined to eat and get back to the arch soon. Though he knows the boy will likely not seek him out in the night, nor need him, he still wants to be there should he be. Dropping into the back yard just in time for the back door to close after the scraps are in place Yu eats quickly and is off again before the little girl who normally watches for him returns to the door. Like a bolt he races to the arch and settles down, stretching out for his before bed nap.
