Real Name/Hero name: Noelle Vandred "Empress" Role: Hero Appearance: Powers: Cash. Cold, hard cash, for any type of funding. Talents: In terms of martial ability, Noelle has a lot to show. She's an Olympic level marksman with her pistol and could easily do the same with her shotgun, and has enough melee training to go toe-to-toe with other super powered villains, with the right equipment. Noelle is also quite observant and can come to quick resolutions. Noelle is a master of stealth and espionage, and very little happens in the city she doesn't already know about. Lastly, Noelle is a capable operator of all and any machinery. Even ones she has never used before, it'll only take her a few moments of testing the controls to be able to operate it like a pro. Personality: Noelle always wanted to be a hero. She didn't care about the danger; to her, to stop the danger was the reason heroes are loved and wanted. They protect people from the bad stuff and that's a good thing. It was very simple to Noelle, at first. But as time went on, it became much less... Idealistic. It became more "Minimize casualties" than "Save everyone". Noelle can come across as rather jaded in justice, and despite her position as Chief of Police, she feels very powerless. To that end she works as a vigilante outside of her police work, just so she could get the feel that she's actually doing something for the city besides pushing papers. Of course, even when she's out doing that, it pales in comparison with other vigilante "heroes" who takes justice into their own hands, making her feel that the entire police force as a whole is just a redundant placebo for the non-super powered to think that they have a say in their protection. This kind of thinking is why Noelle has very little faith in heroes, not because they aren't capable, but because no one controls them. She believes that aren't bound to any law but their own, and are no better than the other gangsters and criminals she has to arrest for trying to flex their authority where it doesn't belong either. Personally Noelle is a very professional woman who, as some would crassly put it, "Has a stick up her ass". She doesn't tolerate foolishness and often seeks to punish first and reward later. A very aggressive woman who isn't very big on waiting for things to happen; she always feels that she needs to be doing something, to be proactive rather than to stand idly by and let things occur without her direct influence. To her enemies she's a constant annoyance that prevents them from ever getting a break. To her friends, she's a doting and busy woman who tries too hard to please everyone. To Noelle, she simply thinks that her life has no purpose beyond helping others. If she can't do that, than what is she suppose to do? Background: Noelle is the daughter of the Chief of Police. Ever since she was young, she always had her eyes on being "The Hero", in however way that was. She was always helpful and sweet, doing her best to live up to her idealized image of being a "Hero". In school, she would help other students even as her grades dropped, and in fact got into trouble for helping students too much. As a teenager she strode to be "the best" so that others can rely on her, though this also had it's own fair share of problems as she soon started to become condescending, constantly showing everyone up and correcting their mistakes. Noelle thought she was the best, but she also just wanted to help. Though out highschool she started to work towards a scholarship in law to become a police officer, just as her father had. She easily succeeded and thought that from there, she could train ans become the city's greatest hero. And than she actually joined the academy. The police were a joke. Nearly all the crimes weren't "solved" by them, but by other "Heroes", often super powered individuals who just happened to apprehend criminals for the police to hold. Noelle tried her hardest to do the job of a police officer, but every time she even gets a bit of momentum going, some new mysterious vigilante comes in, stops the villain, and puts all of Noelle's work to shame by solving an issue in minutes where it would take Noelle days. Police ended up becoming glorified wardens. Noelle didn't like this one bit. She had to do something. Something to make the police better at their job. So she started rehabilitating the criminals they kept, to have them join her side. She took their criminal prowess and turned it into a force for good, or at least one that was working against other evils. Noelle became active in politics and managed to obtain a hefty amount of influence with various rich and powerful people, which in turn gave her the wealth she'd need to fund various projects to improve her police force. She turned mild-manner men into super soldiers, equipped to handle everything from a mugger to giant robots. And yet... It seemed like for all the efforts she put into improving the force, all it did was highlight just how much more capable all these vigilante heroes were. Noelle grew to dislike them for various reasons, from simply jealousy to the fact that they claim to carry the right to uphold justice without even bothering to consult the law. She hated them for what they represented and what they could do. But now it seems like she finally has a chance to shine. With Lady Asyr, the strongest of the heroes, about to die within twenty four hours, Noelle wants to use her vast army of officers to maintain order in the city before villains could come to wreck havoc, or before a new hero comes in to usurp her authority. Noelle wants to show the world that heroes don't need superpowers, just will and determination. She'll show them. She'll show them all.

Real Name/Hero name: Damon / Dark Matter Role: Villain Appearance: Powers: Consuming - Damon can physically consume objects in order to "Absorb" their knowledge, everything from how they are made and what they can do. He can do the same to people and obtain their knowledge and memories. Shapeshifting - Damon can manipulate his body in a multitude of ways, from creating bone-like appendages for combat, or transforming into the appearance of someone else for the purpose of disguising himself. Matter Converting - Damon can consume a certain quantity of matter into his body, and than convert that matter into something else entirely. This is how he gains most of his weaponry and keeps himself in good health. Talents: Damon is no stranger to fights and fights to win, which usually means to kill his opponent. Not to say that he won't turn tail and run if he knows the fight can't be won or isn't worth the trouble, so he can be rather slippery as well. Not only that, but Damon has a vast amount of knowledge and expertise from all the people he has consumed in the past. All he needs is to jogs his memory or consume the right person to do the right job. And most importantly, Damon is a fairly friendly sort, despite his business. He likes to think that he can make friends with everyone and unit them for the same cause. Personality: Damon doesn't really have much thoughts on this whole "Good Versus Evil" or "Hero Against Villain" story. What he does know, however, is that those people need equipment, and he's there to sell. Damon is a opportunist who will exploit the situation to his advantage, even if has no personal stake in the issue in the first place. To that end, Damon is a very cordial and respectful person. Though he's quick to anger and can be rather petty, he still does his best to start off on the right foot and generally make himself look like a good guy who has to do some bad things to get by. Fairly protective and generous to his friends, however he's just as quick to betray them if they slight him in any way. Background: Though Damon doesn't know it, he was created in a villain's laboratory to be a hard counter against Lady Asyr. His Amorphous body was suppose to render him immune to her attacks, but before his experimentation could be complete, a group of heroes came by and put a stop to the villain's scheme, inadvertently freeing Damon. Outside of the laboratory, Damon was lost. He didn't know what he was doing or what he was. He began to wander around, scaring people with his appearance. It wasn't until he came across a farmer did Damon begin to find a point in his life. The farmer was out hunting when he saw Damon, and tried to shoot him. Damon survived, and killed the farmer in self defense. When Damon went to consume him, he absorbed the knowledge of the farmer, as well as his rifle. This weapon, the gun, interested Damon greatly. Since than Damon had built a small criminal career of breaking into weapon laboratories and consuming various weapons and other gadgets for his own use. Often he would just make them and sell them, despite having no real need for monetary gain. He would typically spend this money on whatever legal ventures he felt like pursing for the moment, not caring if there is any profit in it. He had a few run in with hero types, but he does his best to keep a low profile to ensure that he doesn't make too large of a bounty on himself. He doesn't really care for reputation, only to fulfill his desire to have all the weapons of the world at his disposal. Upon hearing that the super hero Lady Asyr is near death, Damon considered profiting from her inevitable demise to start looting various factions for their super weapons. But instead... He wanted to do something else. In a way, it was the opposite of what he was created for. He was going to try to save Lady Asyr.
