In the IC I can only show you what your characters know, your characters can ask someone what is around town, or can even go travel into town and I will Describe what they see as they go along.
I did do a roll to see if they lost any stuff and they both where fine. 
Zim and Grom did sleep more comfortably, and I will take that into account when I roll some dice.
