As the children ran only a single enforcer bothered to follow them, but one was more than enough, more than they had a hope of being able to handle. He was fuled by the power of the shadow god, his shadow bound to the god, his body nothing but a shell for the power that now inhabited it. Unnoticed by the kids he was easily able to follow them. Brisa was doing her best to hang on but she couldn't even ride a horse, and they were built to be ridden. Plus she could tell her friend was tired, she needed to get down...but jumping while in motion seemed to be a bad idea. She was still trying to figure out what to do when the decision was taken out of her hands. A force hit Argurios from behind, Brisa didn't even see what only knew she was falling and there was nothing she could do about it. She hit the ground with an impact that knocked the breath from her body and nearly caused her to black out. The only thing she managed to do before she fell was to emit a little shriek, and that was it. Dreknor had found his quarry at last, and he did not hesitate. With superior strength, speed, and endurance, not to mention his holy zeal he feared nothing. Least of all a group of small children. His first move took them by surprise as he barreled straight into Argurios from behind, wrapping his arms about the young half-orc, and tumbling both of them to the ground on top of the unfortunate Brisa. Brisa couldn't think of of anything save that she was trapped and barely able to breathe, partly from impact and partly because she was half-smothered under bodies. Every breath was agony in her side, she was sure she would pass out soon from the pain. Dreknor rolled, quick and agile as a cat, off Argurios and leaped to his feet, solid black eyes showing no emotion as he sought not only to stop the children, but to kill without question or remorse.
