Since he left the scene of the burning storehouse of the Empire, Cerden had already made his way to the Hollow Bastion Inn. He had already paid for the room on the highest floor and with a view of the city. Sure, it was pricey, but Cerden could afford it. That was one thing that he gained from being in the field that he chose to pursue in his off-time. It allowed him to gain moderate amounts of munny, in which he uses to his heart’s content. For now, however, he used it to buy himself a room overlooking the city. As he would enter his room, Cerden would open up the curtains, seeing the view of the city as he had imagined it to be. Based on the way the light was coming up, it was almost dawn. Cerden just smiled as he would turn his attention to the rather large bed against the wooden walls. He would gently placed his bottom on it as he sat on the bed. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out the piece of the Taint Metal. He just stared at it, as if obsessed with the object in his hand. He turned it and studied it. He knew all about it and yet he wasn’t any closer than he was the previous day. Deciding that he had enough of looking at the piece of Taint Metal, Cerden would stand up from his seated position, and he would make his way once more to the window and he placed the Taint Metal on the desk. He would then gaze into the city, still seeing the burning storehouse off in the distance. Cerden found himself smiling once again about that storehouse. He had to admit it to himself that the Unbound Hearts did good in this night. Perhaps instead of being in the comfort of his room, Cerden should pay them a visit. Or at the very least, observe their movements closely. He knew that Nomis was doing the same exact thing. Cerden had silently decided to himself that it was the time that he retired. A good few hours of sleep would definitely restore whatever energy he exerted in the night. So, as he did decide to call it a night, Cerden would remove his long coat, setting it on the desk next to the bed. He would then do the same with his pants and his shoes. The only piece of clothing that Cerden had on were a pair of red and brown boxers. He would then walk to the bed, remove the blanket half way, crawl underneath it, and that’s where he would let the dreams take over as he laid his head upon the pillow, and closed his eyes.
