All had gone well, it would seem. Except no, not really, it hadn't gone well at all. The operation itself had been successful enough but the data had slipped out of their hands. Someone else had beaten them to it, mainly someone Trisean didn't seem to approve of very much. Asuka couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, vaguely and somewhat curious about this so called 'recruit' (his words). No, he didn't approve of the recruit/mercenary at all, and made that much clear. He trailed off, catching Asuka's attention, though as expected he would keep quiet. She supposed that it wasn't her business to know anyway. If it was really paranoia, would he have been as concerned as he was? [i]Maybe it's better not to know.[/i] She clucked her tongue as the thought crossed her mind.

She watched somewhat lazily as Trisean would climb up, placing her hands at the back of her head. It was at that point he would mention something being weird. Security wasn't as tight as it should have been. Perhaps it had been a result of traveling all night, but Asuka hadn't really noticed anything like that. Thinking it to be good luck rather than bad, she wanted to believe it wasn't anything to worry about. Trisean would go on about...something. Admittedly she didn't quite keep up with everything he had said, but more or less he was concerned with the lack of security. He asked that she remind him to ask Ace about the data. "[b]Mmm...okay.[/b]" She nodded somewhat absentmindedly.

After a slight silence, she would wrinkle her nose slightly. "[b]Maybe we should just take advantage of the situation as it is and get back while we can? I mean, no point in questioning it right this second.[/b]" Asuka said to Trisean. "[b]We'll just keep going. It could just be luck, too.[/b]" She winced slightly, only realizing what she had said after it was already out there. Gosh, that sure sounded naive, didn't it? So much for being taken seriously. "[b]What I mean is...let's not wait until something happens to start thinking like that, you know?[/b]" Asuka quickly corrected herself. "[b]I'm sure everything will be clear once we get out of here.[/b]"
