And contacting other nations isn't unrealistic, it's just the way a lot of people (not just you Duck) have gone about it is unrealistic. I'm guilty of it too, hence why I've gone all incognito for a bit, to slow the pace down. It's honestly difficult to make first contact seem reasonable in an RP, I think.
