Notable Features: Shiroi has purple hair, although the most distinctive marker is his heterochromia iridum, sectoral heterochromia and central heterochromia. His right eye features a dark blue iris with a grey ring interior, while his left eye features a bright green iris with a yellow horizontally running across.

Personality: Shiori is a rather laidback individual, if not suffering from a constant state of ennui. To alleviate such boredom, he prefers to draw out combat interactions in lieu of ending them quickly. Shiori will greatly hinder an opponent with his Kido, yet refuse to finish them until he becomes disinterested in the situation and returns to his duties. As such, he seems rather apathetic outside of being entertained.

Inventions: Unique Kido Seals. Since his time with the kido corp, Shiori has developed a field of kido seals which can be used to steal abilities. The stolen ability would be not render any skills associated with the ability, yet once stolen, Shiori retains the ability until the destruction of its original possessor. The kido seal itself requires physical contact with the target, and is not limited to living things, yet only abilities are stolen rather than traits. Hence, while two seals on a zanpakuto (rather than the shinigami wielding it) can steal shikai and bankai, it is still a useable sword for physical combat.

Inner World: Shiori’s inner world consists of ancient temple grounds. The temple is surrounded by a forest covering an island in the middle of a hot spring formed from the crater of a volcanic mountain. The temple itself is completely made of metals, from the brass and iron beams which create its structure, to the gold and silver gilding which covers its walls. It is a picturesque world, however the slightest disturbance, would shatter it into a void of perpetual emptiness. Thus upon entering this world, one must take care not to make physical contact with anything should the thin precipice between this world and the void break.

Shikai: Upon its release Meiso no Kagami opens up to reveal its metal fan blades have turned into Five 19 cm by 12 cm mystical metal plates marked with a taijitu in the center, while the tessen reveals the koi-skin fannings underneath. 

The metal plates float and can be commanded by either the tessen or Shiori’s mind to move to his liking. On the reverse side of each plate is a unique Kanji: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, and Earth to identify each plate. The plates themselves have sharpened edges, and as such can be used as a weapon, although they are not as strong as most blades thus quick cuts are the preferred use if physical attacks are required.

Shikai Special Ability: 

The side of the plates marked with a taijitu reflect Kido, despite their size each can effectively redirect the full force of Kido as a mirror reflects light. 
The side of the plates marked with a Kanji allow for Kido to be cast with techniques originating from the Kanji.
