He had been on the walls of Gram to await the arrival of the latest airship, and defend the Academy in case such a situation came to be. He watched apprehensively as the faraway shape was harassed by dark shadows, biting his lip in irritation at being unable to do nothing. A relieved sigh was heard by those around him when the defense systems roared four times and burnt away the darkness harassing the newcomers to Gram. “Alright, there shouldn’t be any trouble now, but I want a few of you to stay on watch just in case.” The voice of their supervisor reached them and, to no one’s surprise, a number of individuals turned to Lian almost immediately. Nodding good naturedly, he turned around to glance at the land outside the Academy’s walls as others began to figure out who would be accompanying him for the duty. Eventually, he and the others had been dismissed as the threat level was lowered and finally dropped. With a sigh as he stepped off the walls, he took a look around at the organized chaos before him. He was used to it he supposed, being one of the earlier arrivals to the Academy and thus having been around for the arrival of others. It was always like this when receiving newcomers, though it wasn’t as bad as the mad scramble would have implied. Weaving his way around people that made their way to places they had to be, he figured checking out the new arrivals wouldn’t be a bad idea.
