I consider myself a realist - for example, you can argue all you want about the NSA, you can bitch and moan about it. But fact remains that they'll not listen to you anyway because it's in their interest to uphold the NSA and they are in power - therefore it doesn't matter what you say, the NSA will stay even if it's morally wrong. (Just an example.)

Accepting things the way they are and will be is important, just as it is to recognise that they might be wrong.
