If I may propose another option for the magic points thing? Is the option to switch two scores, and improve one of the other two, by 1 point. To use Tyko as an example, his current abilities are: Strength: 1 Channeling: 3 Healing: 3 Elemental: 2 For the switch, I'd like to swap Strength and Channeling, resulting in: Strength: 3 Channeling: 1 Healing: 3 Elemental: 2 Then the additional point, would allow me to raise either healing, or elemental: Strength: 3 Channeling: 1 Healing: 4 Elemental: 2 So, why am I suggesting this rather than a pure re-distribution of points? For two reasons: The First is this: You already said we were working with low over all rolls, and a simple redistribution isn't adding anything to help that. It's just going to leave people with the same overall low scores, but they might have 1 higher score, where they want it. By adding a point, we raise everyone up a little, but not a drastic amount. They are able to chose something to become pretty good in, or to raise a terrible stat...to something better. The Second is: Well, by switching only two score, ad not being able to modify them further, it helps to prevent outright min-maxing. It allows me to raise the strength score, but of course, I needed to sacrifice something to get that. In addition, with the restriction of putting the extra point on states that weren't switched? Means I have to settle for raising my strength to a maximum of 3, and forces me to improve something else. Again, just an option :D
