Hank - Resting Period - Heather The leader had been dragged away from the vehicles by the victim Heather. As he pulled her away, he could feel her grasp weaken and weaken as they moved away form the group. They reached a distance where they were still at eye's view, but not where the others could hear. As she spoke, he couldn't build up the courage to look at her. Instead he turned to the side, letting her speak to his right cheek. His eyes gazed in the direction of the ground, as though he was being scolded instead of nurtured by his ex. When she started talking about the event not being his fault, Hank just didn't believe that. She was saying it to be nice, not because she meant it. And when she started to embrace him, he quickly reacted by placing his hands to her shoulders and slowly pushing her back to where she first stood. "No Heather" he started, now facing her for the first time since that day. "You want to talk, talk to Imogen. I'm doing things Heather, tryin' to get all this figured out. I don't have time to argue either, just.........just get some rest, something to eat and let's get back on the road. This isn't about us anymore. It's about them. It's about the group. I'm trying to keep these people alive!" Hank urged in a whisper. He then removed his hands from her and started to back away. He scratched the back of his head and returned to the vehicle, taking the map from his back pocket and reading up on it. ---------------- Floyd - Scouting the Area - DeSean "Thank you" DeSean said silently as he walked aside Floyd through the nearby woods. "For what?" Floyd responded in question. DeSean never liked him, so he didn't understand the man's sudden gratitude. "You brought him back. My brother. Thank you" DeSean responded, this time explaining his reason for thanking the man. Floyd just nodded, but didn't show any form of contempt. Inside he felt a little better, as though he was becoming more of a reliable source in the group. He never had the chance of feeling that way, never really had anyone other than Jess who felt that way towards him - as though he was necessary. "The group is broken" DeSean continued to speak. "After what happened to Heather....." he paused, nodded in a wrathful way. "It'll get better" Floyd responded. "You people have this unbreakable bond. It's just a phase" he continued as suddenly he signaled DeSean to be quiet and stop, crouching towards the ground. He then signaled again, pointing left at a bird on a low branch. DeSean turned his gun and fired - the silencer they got from the cannibals actually coming in handy. Floyd then retreated their future meal and later returned back to camp with DeSean. The two men finally seemingly no longer in odds. But for how long?
