[/quote] This is why the group should just push on and persevere even despite people doing this. A good GM would set up a posting frequency and enforce it; and if a player didn't meet that frequency and thus leave the rest of the group in a lurch like this, the GM would continue to push the rp on and either control the player's character until the next opportune moment to remove them, kill them, or make them a general background NPC character that anyone could use and control. People will [i]always[/i] drop out of rps no matter what which is why, no matter what the format of an rp is, the GM should and would be prepared for it.
