Biography: Born to a family that was cousin to those that had led the country at the time, his father was thrust into the position when the last of the nobles had either died or been disgraced. Barron came to resent his dad, who often valued his country over his family, and found that he had no wishes to lead the country. He instead signed up to serve as a soldier against his families wishes. After a stunning defeat of his battalion against a roving group of bandits, he was captured to be sold as a slave due to his worth. Serving as a slave to a royal family, he learned the inner workings of the country, as well as its criminal rings and underground gangs. One day, he found a strange belt in his masters room, and decided to keep it for himself as an act of defiance. The Noble made the mistake of taking the barron into the swamp to execute him, where he accidentally discovered his ability to control fog and mist. After killing the Noble and all his men, he disguised himself with robes from the castle in order to procure passage back to Elenoir. On the ship, he met a slave women who he decided to free before they had arrived, angering the crew and causing a mutiny from the slaves, who quickly took hold of the ship and took Barron back with the women who would become his wife. Once he returned, his father rejoiced but the people did no longer accept him as an heir, even more so after he married his wife. A young slave girl with no nobility. He learned that in the time he had been gone, his mother had died and his father was heavily influenced by a corrupt noble. Using the knowledge he gained as a slave, he started his own group of underground criminals, and his influence slowly grew farther then just the island, forming connections to criminal rings in other countries as well. In an attempt by his father to teach him the ways of diplomacy, and an attempt by the noble to be rid of him, he is sent to Othea to encourage the up-and-coming prince to re-evaluate his countries ties to the church. Barron goes, but decides along the way that he has an ulterior motive to garner support for a revolution to overthrow his father and the noble that puppets him. Personality/motivation: Barron is a gang leader, first and foremost. He confidently leads his men and believes in freedom from oppression of the church. He is often cocky and overly dramatic, and can be increasingly aggressive, but he firmly has his stance of what is right and wrong and stands by it. He has three goals as he comes to Othea: 1. To convince the prince to oppose the church outright. 2. To further advance the influence of his criminal ring. 3. Garner support and allies for a revolution in his home country. 4. To create the best living he can for him and his wife. Relations: Characters with criminal background spanning the last few years would have at least heard of him, as well as any characters who have lived or were born in Kalesia or Kalnach Final Point - Secrets: Barron is an open man and will not hide who he is or what hes done to get where he is now.
