The original had the characters paired up beforehand, but I think it would be more interesting for the characters to explore their chemistry with each other on their own. 
...Well, that, and I don't trust myself to match up personalities. If everyone votes to pair up beforehand and someone else can help with the pairs, though, I would be fine with that.
