Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, it's your favorite time of year! Your rusting, dirty fair is back in time, for a short time only! So buy your tickets from the greasy man in the booth, and let's ride some thrilling, questionably safe rides! Lose your money in games designed to let no man win, or come visit our petting zoo! Eat your heart out at the food trucks, that is, if you don't have a heart-attack from all of the deep fried everything that we serve. Carnivals are all fun and games. For the patrons. But for the "Carnies", it's long days and long nights, with little sleep and lots of work. Struggling to pass federal requirements for ride safety, food safety, age of employees, and general cleanliness. You can tell by the bags under their eyes, the dirt under their nails, and for some, a lack of teeth. For the patrons, it's smiles and bad jokes. But behind the scenes, things are grim, dirty, and mildly unpleasant. But no one wants to know that. It ruins the illusion and forces an actual story onto these people.
Name: Age: Gender: Appearance: Personality: History: Position: Ect:

Name: Kason Highlands Age: 22 Gender: Female Appearance: Kason has a long, thin frame, and stands between 5'8" & 5'9". Her hair is long, fading from dark brown to a dirty blonde from sun exposure, falling close to her lower back. Her eyes are large, and a mixture of brown and green. Her nose is small, pierced on the right side. A few small beauty marks rest on her cheeks, one of them sitting on her full lips. Scars are found variously across her body. Tribal turtles are tattooed across her rib cage on the left side. Kason Personality: Kason is outgoing, motherly, a little abrasive. She's often seen as 'one of the guys' due to her laid-back attitude and generally care-free perspective. That's not to say that her feminine side doesn't emerge every once in a while, and emerge with full force. History: Growing up in a trailer park with an abusive father and her brother, Kason found refuge when she found the folks at the fair. From a young age, Kason realized that her family wasn't normal. She knew Daddy wasn't supposed to beat her, neither was Brother. She watched children being dragged from their families by police officers and other government workers. They never came back. So to avoid leaving, she had learned to just lie. Lie about the bruises, the burn marks, the cuts and scratches. The ones that Daddy gave her. The ones that Brother was learning to give her. When she was old enough to have friends, she spent every second she could away from home. But that didn't mean she wasn't getting in trouble with Daddy and Brother. They used any excuse to take out their frustrations on her. By age 15, Kason was into anything she could get her hands on. Anything to make the pain go away, or at least make the memory go away for a little while. On her 16th birthday, she was approached by a fair employee after being told repeatedly to leave for trying to get free food, take money from some of the stands, take anything she could. But instead of calling the cops, the owner, someone the employees only seem to meet once, just offered her a job. He listened to her plight, and on the last day of the fair, helped her onto one of the trucks. Her father never filed a missing persons report, and no one cared that she left. Position: Starting from the bottom, Kason worked her way up from picking up trash, to eventually working one of the stands at least once. Currently, she works one of the rides. Ect: Often seen with a beer in her hand, Kason is always looking for a good time, whether it be drinking, drugs, or hooking up with some guy that hits on her while she's working.
