Evvie randomly slips on the water and knocks you out of the danger zone. Plus it's obvious her tail could divert the electric flow from the rest of her body if it went through her feet. :cool (scientifically 100% accurate)

EDIT: But seriously, if an electric current traveled up her leg, wouldn't it be sent back down through her tail to be grounded? If it wasn't magical lightning of course
