Aaron was the last to enter the elevator, and he had to practically shove the smaller Genesis and Vanessa out of his way to make room for his large form while he muttered apologies, then stood rather awkwardly in the middle. "Everyone's still alive, right?" His eyes scanned across the mercenaries. "We-" but he was cut off by a cruel, mocking voice over the intercom. Something about the arrogant confidence of the man made his blood boil. He rolled his eyes and unprofessionally ignored the voice on the intercom, assuming from the tone that he was only bragging or taunting. Because he paid little attention, he was surprised and caught off guard when the doors abruptly opened and the team was confronted with two grotesque, half-human creatures. They both sped forward with frightening speed, and almost right away one was locked in a struggle with Ogre. Aaron tried to stay calm, panicking would only create more danger. He turned and focused his ion beam on the base of the other creature, hoping to damage it's legs and cripple or at least slow it. The thing yelped and skid across the metal floor to land a few feet in front of Aaron- who backed up and attempted to focus the beam for another shot before it stood back up.
