Allie walked into the threshold of the class just as the bell rang. She inwardly sighed, slumping into a seat towards the back of the room. She knew she had moved awfully slow this morning. Today was one of her sicker days, but she knew she couldn't miss school every time she felt bad. Which was almost every day. She felt a wet cough coming on and squeezed the side of her desk, her knuckles turning white from the strain of trying not to let the cough escape. She didn't want to freak anyone out. It passed and she eventually relaxed a little. She stared at a line on her palm, afraid to meet someone's eyes. She just couldn't help being so tense and anxious. After all, social interaction was a fairly new thing for her. [I]Maybe I should have stayed locked up.[/I]
