Vanessa whipped her head around in alarm as the creatures began to attack. She squeezed the trigger a couple of times, but the bullets whizzed harmlessly past the pair. She cursed violently under her breath as Ogre engaged the male one in battle, unable to get a clear shot on him. Her eyes frantically searched for the female creature until Vanessa was able to pinpoint her climbing back to her feet, strolling coquettishly over towards Aaron, puzzling Vanessa for a moment. She watched with a mixture of fascination and horror topped with fear as the male climbed started to get back up after Ogre shot it in the head. Vanessa aimed and sent a few bullets in the direction of him, despite the fact that the bullets only seemed to stop him temporarily.

A new wave of surprise struck Vanessa as the female's mesmerizing voice began to wash over the team members. The euphony filled the elevator, and before she had a chance to consider that the creatures seemed to be unharmed by bullets, Vanessa fired four or five shots towards the female creature, hoping to at least disable her for enough time so the team could get their bearings.
