"Woah..."

Alex had expected the hotel to be nice, but this? This was something.

He walked into the lobby, pulling one earphone out and allowing himself to soak in the view. The space was [i]huge[/i], practically screaming opulence. Alex checked himself over, mentally grimacing at his plain green hoodie and worn converse. 

Pushing the thought back, Alex adjusted the strap on his messenger bag and replaced his earphone before heading towards the reception desk. There was only one, flustered receptionist behind the desk and a long line in front of him. Alex sighed. He took his place behind a shorter woman and turned up the volume on his iPod.
